The ICCR, European Society of Pathology (ESP) and World Health Organization (WHO) International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) co-hosted a Special Session at the at the European Congress of Pathology on 15 September titled “Global harmonization of tumour diagnosis: challenges and perspectives”.

The Special Session was chaired by Professors Dilani Samarawickrema Lokuhetty, Kieran Sheahan and Peter Schirmacher. Professor Marta Cohen presented on “Diagnostic and structured reporting challenges in low resource health care systems”, with a special focus on the work on the ICCR in low resource settings.

The ECP which brought together more than 5,000 delegates worldwide was a great success showcasing outstanding scientific content from internationally renowned speakers and leaders in their fields.
