The ICCR welcomes Professor Ekkehard Hewer as the new Chair of the ICCR Dataset Steering Committee.

Professor Hewer has a special interest in cytopathology and neuropathology, working as a consultant pathologist at Lausanne University Hospital and Associate Professor of pathology at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. He is a board member and ICCR representative of the Swiss Society of Pathology on the Dataset Steering Committee since 2021. His research interests include the application of molecular methods to neuropathology and cytopathology, the use of non-invasive optical methods for rapid tissue analysis and structured reporting in pathology.

Professor Hewer brings a wealth of experience to the position of Chair of the ICCR Dataset Steering Committee. He is also the ICCR representative on the ICCR Skin and Eye datasets. We are very grateful for Professor Hewer’s continued support of the work of the ICCR.
