Standardised Pathology Reporting rolling out in Kumasi, Ghana

The project to roll-out Standardised Pathology Reporting in Kumasi, Ghana, is a collaborative effort lead by the City Cancer Challenge, the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP),  Smart Reporting and ICCR.

The project will see the implementation of a structured pathology reporting system in all of Kumasi’s pathology laboratories. This will allow pathologists to complete cancer reports based on the ICCR’s international evidence-based standards. While at the same time, creating a formatted report that can be integrated into electronic medical and laboratory information systems, and then generate a file that can be sent to a population-based cancer registry.
